Nurses Week Highlights Dedication to Members and Communities
05/11/2021
During National Nurses Week (May 6-12), º£½ÇÂÒÂ× recognizes the vital contributions nursing professionals across our enterprise make to keep our members and communities safe and healthy. Our Medical Management/Health Services team includes skilled physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers and health service experts who work directly with those we serve.
Nursing professionals and clinical teams across our organization are an essential part of our local approach to holistic healthcare. º£½ÇÂÒÂ×'s nurses and care teams work together to improve health outcomes, advocate for members, and enable community partnerships.
Early in the pandemic, º£½ÇÂÒÂ× responded to the urgent need for medical professionals to care for patients by establishing a Medical Reserve Leave policy, which provides paid leave and benefits to clinical staff who chose to help those impacted by COVID-19. Nurses across the enterprise have served in front-line positions during the COVID-19 pandemic, including delivering direct patient care and providing testing and vaccination assistance.

We thank the nurses and clinical professionals across our enterprise for their tireless service, whether they are providing front-line treatment, ensuring continuity of care for members, or transforming the health of vulnerable populations.
